1600’s Style Doublet, 2025

I pattern drafted, cut and made this doublet for myself using the 16th century spanish pattern cutting method, the bara system. I wanted to refine my knowledge of the pattern and reasoning behind cut lines for the doublet. It also allowed me to further improve my hand sewing skills (I tried to stick to just hand stitch throughout the making apart from the longer seam lines that are hidden on the inside.
